What is an employment certificate?

An employment certificate is a document issued by an employer to certify that the employee has worked under a permanent or temporary employment contract. This document allows the employee to prove that he or she has a current employment contract. The employer issues this document at the request of the employee. The document is in the form of a simple letter, on company letterhead, signed by an authorized person with the company’s stamp.
