What is changing the details of a work permit?

This is an administrative procedure to be performed in the event of a change in the employee’s information regarding:

➤ Change of workstation
➤ Change of workplace
➤ The addition of an employer
➤ Change of employer's name
➤ Other changes

These changes can be made directly to the relevant labor office after submitting all the necessary documents and the completed application form to change work permit details.

Can a foreigner work for two companies in Thailand?

Note that a foreigner can have a second employer in Thailand. This is possible, and having a second employer does not affect the foreigner’s visa. But the first employer must still comply with Thai immigration law regarding visa extension. If he or she has two different jobs, the foreigner will still hold a visa supported by the first employer. But the foreign employee will hold two work permits: one for the first employer and one for the second employer.

What happens if an employer terminates your employment contract?

In the event that the first employment ends, but the foreign citizen wishes to remain in the Kingdom and continue to work for the second employer, he or she may obtain a new extension of his or her B non-immigrant visa. The employed foreigner must proceed promptly and complete the appropriate form (normally within 7 days), and the second employer must support this extension.
